Digital exhibitions
architecture and city

For more than 40 years, the BAQ has been one of the spaces for integration, comparison and analysis of contemporary architectural and urban production on the scale of the continent.

During this time, the quality and variety of exhibitions developed within the framework of the event have been one of the most far-reaching formats for the dissemination, exchange and analysis of architecture open to a diverse public.
In This edition the BAQ, in response to the social distancing measures that cities are going through, in addition to its Academic agenda and regular Contest, diversifies its formats and becomes a platform for the dissemination of content.

In this context, the Panamerican Architecture Biennial of Quito summons research teams, managers and cultural institutions, universities, architecture studios, authors and editors from all over the world to present:

Digital exhibitions on architecture and city themes.

The call has no restriction regarding subject matter, approach, languages and resources used in its conception. They must be developed in any digital format and hosted on a free and open access platform open to the public.

The Biennial Commission will review the proposals to determine the relevance and suitability in the treatment of the themes of the exhibition, their academic value and the adequacy to the general mission proposed by the Panamerican Biennial of Architecture of Quito: dissemination, exchange, analysis architecture and content dissemination, open to a diverse audience.

Regarding the content and production quality criterion, the relevance and coherent dialogue between the museological script and the museography will be taken into account.
