The College of Architects of the Provincial Ecuador of Pichincha (CAE-P), historically organizes in the month of November of the even-numbered years, the BIENNIAL PANAMERICANA DE ARQUITECTURA DE QUITO (BAQ), an event that has been taking place since 1978 and has now been held for twenty-one editions.

The Architects College of Ecuador, Province of Pichincha, organized the First Quito Architecture Biennale, whose basic objectives were:
to contribute to the comprehensive training of the Ecuadorian Architect through the knowledge of his reality in the context of the area to which he belongs, to reaffirm integration policies in this field for cultural development and research, and to contribute and encourage public and private institutions in the knowledge of architecture and the architect´s management role in the development of society.
